Lowering HbA1C Encouragement

The last time I checked, people in general don’t like having their blood taken but as a diabetic it’s the way it is…

After having my recent HbA1C done, I thought I would share my results and share a bit about the HbA1c mindset.

I feel that those who have poor control probably fear the results while those with good control seem to look forward to their results. What do you feel when getting your HbA1C done, fear factor or something you are used to?

My Insulin Pump on the Beach while on Holiday

You need to install or upgrade Flash Player to view this content, install or upgrade by clicking here.

I went on a recent holiday to Barcelona in Spain and thought it would be a great idea to show everyone how I used my insulin pump on the beach and how I kept it cool under the surprisingly hot conditions.

Some people are worried about what others think of their diabetes – how do you feel about being a type 1 diabetic in front of the general public? (taking injections, wearing a pump while tanning etc)

Do you have any experiences of being on the beach as a diabetic?  Doesn’t have to relate to the pump specifically… Let me know – comment below.
